WE BELIEVE: In The Resurrection
Revelation 20:11-15

"We Believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation"
(Revelation 20:11-15).

Many people believe abstractly in heaven, usually without a clear picture of what heaven is like or how a person could arrive there. Some believe that at the end of our life, all of our works will be weighed in a balance.

If our good works outweigh our not-so-good works, then we will be ushered into heaven.

Other people do not believe in a hereafter at all. They believe this life is all there is, so we should live it to the hilt. “Go for the gusto” or “live it up” would be their motto because there is no tomorrow.

Those who accept the Bible as basis for their belief system differ from both these views.

We do believe there is life after death and how we live this life determines where we will spend eternity. But our eternal destination is not based on our works. We could not do enough to earn our way out of sin to an eternal home with a holy God.

A much easier plan was made according to John 3:16. God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son to die for our sins. Whoever believes and receives this gift from God will not perish, but will have eternal life.

Sadly, according to the same chapter in John, those who do not believe are under condemnation and must suffer for those sins.

God has made the way to eternal life in heaven, a way out of eternal damnation. The choice is ours. Our prayer is that all of our readers will choose eternal life by believing on Jesus, God’s Son.
